Roofers hope to build on cup victory

LEAGUE points are a must for Jarrow Roofing tomorrow as they look to get their promotion campaign back on track.

Their bid to return to Division One of the Northern League stumbled at the weekend when they were soundly beaten 5-2 by fellow promotion-chasers Guisborough Town.

But they bounced back immediately by beating Team Northumbria 3-0 in the cup in midweek, Craig Nelson bagging a hat-trick.

And with Roofing still second in the table, boss Richie McLoughlin is refusing to panic ahead of their trip to Newton Aycliffe.

He welcomes back Stuart Dixon after suspension, but loses Ian Dixon to a ban.

Goalkeeper Andy Hunter is out for the season, so Gary Frater is expected to deputise again, while Kris Hughes, Craig Price and Danny Carson are injured, and Robbie Houghton is working.
