HARTLEPOOL comfortably defeated managerless Boldon CA 4-0 in the first round of the Monkwearmouth Charity Cup.
After Johnny Bolton and Shaun Atkinson had given Hartlepool the cushion of a two-goal interval advantage, former Jarrow Roofing frontman Chris Archer doubled the score after the interval.
