HAT-TRICK HERO ... Shaun Reay.

HAT-TRICK HERO ... Shaun Reay.

BOLDON CA hit form with a 5-0 thumping at Darlington Cleveland Bridge on Saturday.

Shaun Reay was the star of the show, bagging a hat-trick in a one-sided game.

Michael Meek and Neil Crammon were also on target as Boldon moved up to ninth in the Wearside League table.

Jarrow are sixth after they drew 2-2 with Hartlepool.

Jarrow didn’t start the game very well against a strong Hartlepool side, who deservely led 2-0 at the interval.

In the second half, Jarrow started the brighter and this continued throughout the rest of the game as they looked the better team.

Peter Kirkham’s side created numerous chances and deservedly pulled one back on 75 minutes through Ryan Burton.

They continued to dominate and create chances and deservedly equalised on 85 minutes with a great strike from Anth Myers, who fired into the top corner from 25 yards.

Assistant manager Davy Bell said: “We deserved a draw because of our second-half performance, and we need to take this level of performance into our last two games.

“It is great credit to the lads that with so many missing from the squad we have come back from a disappointing first-half performance to totally dominate the second half and deservedly get a share of the points against a very strong side.”
