FPP Sunderland – the group containing businessmen Glenn Fuhrman, Robert Platek and John Phelan – finalised a £10million investment into the Black Cats in October, bringing to an end a long saga which also involved the trio discussing a potential takeover of the club.

Hide AdPlatek and Phelan have both been spotted on Wearside in the past as they took in the 3-1 win over AFC Wimbledon earlier this term, and a representative from the group is set to head to Sunderland in December for a board meeting.
Speaking at a club talk-in, executive director Charlie Methven said: “I think they’d like to see more of the club and how the club works.

“They’ll certainly be taking a very keen interest – how the playing side develops, how the fans react – they’ll be interested in all aspects of this.
