Speaking to Twitch TV, the Spurs and England frontman said: “Newcastle away is always a great game, great atmosphere.

“It’s an incredible stadium St James’ Park. I enjoy it, I look forward to that game.

“The fans up there are mad for Newcastle as well, so it’s normally a great atmosphere and a great game to be involved with.”

Kane scored twice during his last visit to Tyneside in April’s 2-2 draw with the Magpies.

Kristoffer Ajer latest

On the transfer front, Newcastle have been repeatedly linked with Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer in recent weeks.

The Norwegian centre-back has just over a year left on his contract with the SPL side, which he joined in 2016.

According to the Scottish Sun, Newcastle have stepped up their interest in Ajer, as Toon scouts were at Ibrox to watch Celtic’s 4-1 defeat by Rangers over the weekend.

The report also claims that Norwich are eyeing up a move for the defender, who Celtic rate as an £8milllion asset.

Demba Ba open to England return

Finally, former Newcastle striker Demba Ba says a return to English football is 'an option.'

The 35-year-old was released by Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir last month after a disagreement with manager Aykut Kocaman.

Ba told Sky Sports: "I just want to enjoy my football for the last couple of years and find joy again.

"It may end in another league, another country but I will make the best decision for myself and family.

"I would have loved to have two careers - one where I just travelled the world and visited countries, cultures and learnt about people because I love to do that.

"But then I would have loved another where I stayed at one club for 10, 12, 15 years because it's special to do something like that."
