Toon's olive branch to contract-rebel Taylor
NEWCASTLE United are set to offer Steven Taylor an olive branch – by including the defender in their 25-man squad.
There have been reports Taylor, pictured, would be frozen out by the club's hierarchy after turning down a contract offer, though fresh talks are in the pipeline.
However, the Gazette understands the 24-year-old – who wants to stay at St James's Park – will be named in the squad given to the Premier League today.

All clubs have to submit a list of players over the age of 25 due to a new rule, aimed at fostering development of homegrown players, having been drafted in this season.
Taylor faces at least another month on the sidelines after a shoulder operation in the summer.
Celtic reportedly had a deadline-day loan bid for Taylor turned down yesterday.
