Steve Bruce responds to reports linking Newcastle United with Valentino Lazaro

Valentino Lazaro is on Newcastle United’s transfer radar.

The club is looking to strengthen up front in this month’s transfer window – and a move for the Inter Milan winger has been discussed.

However, head coach Steve Bruce – who met owner Mike Ashley for transfer talks this week – was coy when asked about 23-year-old Lazaro today.

Bruce said: “It’s wrong to talk about individuals.

“We’ve been linked with about 58 players, and I don’t want to comment on that.”
