LAST BID ... Bristol City's Albert Adomah is challenged by Watford's Adrian Mariappa.

ALAN Pardew has confirmed Newcastle United have made a take-it-or-leave-it final offer for Adrian Mariappa.

United today tabled an undisclosed fourth bid for the Watford defender, who is also reportedly a target for Arsenal and Swansea City.

Pardew also revealed that he won’t return for Mariappa in the summer should the Championship club reject Newcastle’s transfer deadline day offer.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow night’s game at Blackburn Rovers, Pardew said: “As far as the boy at Watford (Mariappa), we’ve made our last bid.

“If he doesn’t come today, he won’t come to this football club. We’ll probably look elsewhere (in the summer), if I’m honest.”

Pardew also revealed an unnamed club has made an approach to take James Perch on loan, but that he doesn’t expect any departures for big names such as Tim Krul or Fabricio Coloccini.

Pardew said: “I’m smiling, that’s a good sign.

“I certainly wasn’t last year. All of our big players are going to stay.”
