Everton agree fee for Rangers ace Jelavic
EVERTON are believed to have agreed a fee with Rangers for 26-year-old striker Nikica Jelavic, with the Croatian International now expected to travel to Merseyside to negotiate personal terms and have a medical.
Reports yesterday suggested Everton had made a bid for Jelavic and it is now believed that Rangers have accepted the offer.
The former Rapid Vienna man has been hotly linked with a host of English clubs during this transfer window including Everton’s bitter rivals Liverpool, as well as West Ham who are believed to have had a £7million bid for the Croatian international rejected earlier this week.
However Everton have emerged as the front runners to sign the striker, who has scored 30 goals in 45 appearances for Rangers, as David Moyes looks to bolster his attack using the reported £5million received from the sale of Diniyar Bilyaletdinov to Spartak Moscow.
