Defender returns to Newcastle United
Newcastle United have recalled Kelland Watts from a loan at Stevenage.
The defender – who signed a three-year deal at St James’s Park last year – had been loaned to the League Two club for the entire season.
Watts will be now be used as cover after being recalled by injury-hit head coach Steve Bruce.
The 20-year-old, however, is cup-tied and ineligible for next week’s FA Cup replay against Rochdale.
Watts made his senior debut in the Premier League Asia Trophy in the summer.
