Agent rubbishes Spurs star Defoe to Liverpool link

TOP agent Phil Smith has quashed rumours that Tottenham striker Jermaine Defoe is set for a sensational Transfer Deadline day move to Liverpool.
Talking to Hawksbee and Jacobs on Talksport, Smith said: “Not a chance, not a chance,” when asked about speculation linking the England international with a move to Anfield.
Liverpool have struggled for goals recently and speculation surrounding a move for Defoe had grown throughout the day despite Dalglish saying yesterday that he wouldn’t be signing any senior players before the close of the window.
