Newcastle join Spurs, Man United and Chelsea on trail of Swansea keeper
WANTED MAN ... Swansea City's Dutch goalkeeper Michel Vorm.
NEWCASTLE United are today reported to be showing an interest in Swansea City’s highly-rated goalkeeper Michel Vorm.
But they could face competition from some of the Premier League’s big guns, with Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United all said to have made enquiries.
The 28-year-old Dutchman, signed from Utrecht for £1.5m in the summer, has been key to Swansea’s progress in their first-ever Premier League season.
The Daily Mail quotes Swansea director John van Zweden as saying: “Chelsea and Newcastle United are interested. Manchester United have asked about him, while Tottenham have cautiously let us know.”
Newcastle could be eyeing Vorm as a replacement for fellow Dutchman Tim Krul, who has been linked with a move away from St James’s Park.
