Blackburn new boy Brad can’t face old team Newcastle

BRADLEY Orr has joined struggling Blackburn Rovers – but not in time to face his old club Newcastle United.
The right-back today signed for Blackburn from Queens Park Rangers.
But the deal wasn’t completed in time for him to be registered in time for tomorrow night’s game against Newcastle at Ewood Park.
Orr, 29, started his career at St James’s Park, but didn’t make a first-team appearance for the club.
“It just really excites me,” said the Liverpudlian. “It’s obvious they’ve got a great squad, and it’s a chance for me to try and establish myself as a Blackburn player, and do as well as I can for the club.”
Blackburn manager Steve Kean said: “I think the age he’s at gives us a bit more experience in that position.”
