Met office issue weather warning for high winds at storm Jorge set to hit South Shields
The Met office renewed it's yellow weather warning on Saturday (February 29) morning and warned that travel disruption could be possible. Strong winds are expected to reach the North East on Saturday afternoon and will increase into the evening and overnight into Sunday.
Gusts of 50mph to 60mph are likely quite widely, and especially in association with heavier showers across England during Saturday afternoon.
