Newcastle United forward Adam Armstrong is staying at Coventry City.

There has been speculation that Armstrong was set to be recalled to the relegation-threatened club by new manager Rafa Benitez.

Sightings of the 19-year-old at Newcastle's training ground in recent days fuelled talk that his season-long loan was about to be cut short.

While Armstrong – who has scored 19 goals for Coventry – has been doing some work at the club's Benton HQ since Benitez took charge, he is not set for a recall.

And, as it stands, Armstrong will spend the rest of the season at the League One club.
