Rafa Benitez is yet to commit to Newcastle United '“ a week after the club's relegation.

Benitez has held talks with owner Mike Ashley and managing director Lee Charnley on Tyneside over the past few days.

And the 56-year-old, at his family home on Merseyside, is not expected to agree to stay on at St James's Park and manage in the Championship until next week.
