X Factor Joe's backing ex-rival Olly
THEY went head-to-head for the X Factor crown last year.
But South Shields singing star Joe McElderry is urging his fans to help Olly Murs get to the top of the charts.
The Essex pop star is aiming for the No 1 spot with debut release Please Don't Let Me Go.
And 19-year-old Joe used his Twitter account to lend his support, writing: "Hey everyone, get Olly to No 1. Buy the single."
Joe is putting the finishing touches to his eagerly-awaited album, which music mogul and X Factor supremo Simon Cowell insists will confound the critics.
He added on Twitter: "Can't believe the album is nearly finished. Get butterflies thinking 'bout it."
