Our squad is ready for kick-off!
OUR squad of models are gearing up for our annual fashion show.
Fashion Shoot kicks off at the Customs House in Mill Dam, South Shields, at 7.30pm tonight and tomorrow.
Our Face of 2010 models have been totally on the ball as squad practice – or rehearsals – have gone perfectly to plan.
Gazette editor John Szymanski said: "Preparations have gone really well and we are expecting it to be a fantastic show.
"Everyone is really excited as we count down the hours.
"I would urge everyone to come along, support South Tynesiders doing their bit for local charities – and be hugely entertained by a top-quality show."
The show has been inspired by a fantastic year of football.
We have watched the world's best sides battle it out in South Africa, seen Newcastle return to the Premiership, where derby rivals Sunderland await, and later this year we will learn if England is to host the 2018 World Cup.
Fashion show director Peter Darrant, who has choreographed the show and will also be hosting on both nights, said: "It's only a few hours to kick-off and already the team are performing well.
"It's going to be a premier night of entertainment and we're looking for a star striker to be named the Face of 2010."
Throughout the night there will be the chance to win a whole host of amazing prizes – and there's some top-flight entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Fashion Shoot is raising money for our two charities, Cancer Connections and The Mick Knighton Mesothelioma Research Fund, as well as finding our Face of 2010.
It is backed by main sponsor Complete Smile dental practice, along with Colmans fish and chip shop, Asda Boldon, The Viking Centre in Jarrow, Majestic Bingo, Practical Compounds, Specsavers, Barbour, The Quality Hotel and Paper Moon.
Tickets are on sale, priced 10 – including a free goodie bag – from the Customs House box office on 454 1234.
