Teen on three rape charges sent to crown court
A MAN accused of raping a woman will be dealt with at crown court.
Graham Paterson was at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court yesterday, facing three counts of rape.
The 18-year-old is said to have carried out the attacks in South Shields on November 27 last year.
He entered no pleas to the charges, which will be heard at Newcastle Crown Court.
Paterson, of Windram Road, Chirnside, in Scotland, will appear in Newcastle on March 1.
He was granted bail until then, on the conditions that he does not enter South Tyneside and does not contact prosecution witnesses.
