Man denies stalking X Factor Joe’s mum
COURT APPEARANCE ... Ennis McBride is accused of stalking Joe McElderry's mum.
A MAN has denied harassing the mum of South Shields X Factor winner Joe McElderry.
Ennis McBride appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court today to face the charge.
It is alleged that Joe’s mum, Eileen Joyce, was approached on two separate occasions towards the end of last year.
One incident is said to have taken place at her home in South Shields, and the other at an Asda supermarket in the town.
McBride, 53, of Rostrevor Road, Stockport, Greater Manchester, pleaded not guilty to one count of harassment under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
The case was adjourned for a trial has been set for May 11.
