Man accused of selling £4,000 of stolen jewellery
A MAN accused of selling on £4,000 worth of stolen jewellery is to have his case heard at crown court.
Dean Kelly, of Hatfield Avenue, Hebburn, is said to have known the goods were stolen before he travelled to Middlesbrough to pawn them.
He denied a charge of handling stolen goods at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court in December and asked to be tried at Newcastle Crown Court.
He will appear there on March 23.
Kelly was granted unconditional bail until then.
