Roadworks round-up: April 14 to 20
HERE’S a round-up of the roadworks which are planned on the North-East’s highways next week.
A1(M), Junction 63 to Washington Services, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) between Junction 63 and Washington Services for survey works. There will be two lanes open northbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 16 – 20 April.
A1, Kenton Bar, Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Kenton Bar for electrical works. There will be one lane open southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 18 – 21 April.
A1, Lobley Hill, Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Lobley Hill for message sign servicing. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 10pm and 2.30am. The works will take place 18 – 19 April.
A1(M), Junction 58, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight at Junction 58 for electrical works. There will be lane closures in place on the roundabout between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 18 - 21 April.
A1(M), Junction 60 to 61, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) between Junctions 60 and 61 for resurfacing works. There will be a full carriageway closure with diversion in place northbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 21 April.
A1, Denwick Interchange, Northumberland
Moderate delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Denwick Interchange for resurfacing works. There will be slip road closures with diversions in place between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 15 April.
A1, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 at Berwick-upon-Tweed for electrical repairs. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 9.30am and 3.30pm. The works will take place 16 – 17 April.
A1, North Charlton Junction, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at North Charlton Junction for construction works. There will be traffic signals in place north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 16 April – 30 June.
A1, Alnwick Interchange, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Alnwick and Denwick Interchanges for resurfacing works. There will be a full carriageway closure with diversion in place northbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 16 – 20 April.
A1, Warreners House to Tritlington, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Warreners House and Tritlington for drainage works. There will be traffic signals in place north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 17 April.
A1, Seaton Burn to Morpeth, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Seaton Burn and Morpeth for inspection works. There will be one lane open in places north and southbound between 8.30am to 2.30pm. The works will take place until 16 April.
A66, Morton Palms, Darlington, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A66 at Morton Palms Roundabout for electrical works. There will be one lane open on the roundabout between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 16 – 18 April.
